Gallienus, 253 - 268 AD
AE 26 of Parium, Mysia

Bust right / Gate or arch with 4 columns on the facade, 3 doors and 2 windows between the columns, elephants and figures above

Parium Ruins Photo
Comment- See the elephant with 4 legs and trunk down, looking left at the figure on short pedestal with arm raised? There is an elephant with trunk down looking right at figure also, but it is more worn down than the left side of the coin. Rough surfaces and speckled patina was very difficult to photograph, and lighting just seemed to make the coin look worse.

Gallienus, 253 - 268 AD
AE 29 of Parium, Mysia

Bust right / Gate or arch with columns on the facade, doors and windows between the columns, elephants and figures above

Comment- A different variation of the coin above. A small figure on short pedestal with arm raised and holding a long object. There is an elephant in the center with trunk up facing the figure. The same scene was mirrored on the left, but it is worn away. The letters CCI on the bottom are backwards, but the letter P on the right side is facing the correct way. There is a pellet at the top of the large door.
